The Journey

IMG_2515.jpg

I’m a wildlife photographer based on the Kent coast, drawn to the quiet moments where light, landscape and behaviour align. What began as a simple curiosity years ago has grown into a practice that shapes how I move through the world — slower, more observant, always looking for the story behind the scene.

As a member of my local photography club, I’ve spent years immersed in a community that values craft, experimentation and shared learning. That experience helped me refine my eye and deepen my commitment to the medium.

Birds are at the heart of my work. Their rhythms, their fragility, their resilience — they pull me in every time. Through patient observation and time spent in hides across the UK and Europe, I’ve developed a style that blends stillness with narrative, aiming to reveal character as much as form.

Now retired from my corporate career, I’m dedicating myself fully to photography and to the stories that matter most to me: conservation, habitat loss, and the relationship between people and the natural world. My work is increasingly focused on documenting these themes with honesty and care, using images to spark connection and encourage protection of the places and species we risk losing.
